Transgender Zone

Since 1998 Transgender Zone has been supporting those who feel they are confused about their gender, those who are looking for support for someone who is transgender, and health and social care professionals, broadcast media and lay people who want to learn more about the subject. We work to educate those who are living with gender dysphoria and increase awareness about this and other gender identity issues.

AVEN

AVEN hosts the world's largest online asexual community as well as a large archive of resources on asexuality. AVEN strives to create open, honest discussion about asexuality among sexual and asexual people alike.

My Umbrella

MyUmbrella is a volunteer led support group based in Reading, Berkshire for the lesser known LGBT+ identities.

R-Trans

R-Trans is the only support group covering Reading, Berkshire and the surrounding areas for those who seek support and friendship through transitioning.

TransOxford

We are run entirely by the volunteers. We all know ‘first hand’ the problems associated with gender dysphoria, transition and post-transitional social integration of transgender people. Our members come from all walks of life and benefit from an informal exchange of social and professional ideas, knowledge, expertise and experience in many fields, including personal confidence and development, social integration in a new gender role, legal, psychological and other aspects of living with their gender identity.

Swindon Transgender Support Group

The Swindon TG Group is a local Transgender support group that exists in order to provide information and help to those who are either confused about gender or who are simply looking for a safe and friendly environment in which to ‘dress’ regardless of age, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, ethnicity or any other totally irrelevant factor.

GIRES

GIRES is a volunteer operated membership charity that, in collaboration with the other groups in its field, hears, helps, empowers and gives a voice to trans and gender non-conforming individuals, including those who are non-binary and non-gender, as well as their families.

Specifically for Children and parents with Gender Dysphoria. Being transgender can be incredibly isolating both for the person and the family who support them. Don’t be alone, reach out to Mermaids who can put you in touch with others. Make new friends and share experiences.

SOFFA Marmalade

The SOFFA group, which is run by volunteers, who have a trans person in their family, is here to support those who may or may not be struggling to come to terms with the issues. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a partner, a parent, a friend or ally seeking information or support. The SOFFA-marmalade group offers a safe, non-judgmental and trans free space in which to air any worries or concerns and to receive support and understanding.
